శ్యామలా సదన్

కాకినాడలో శ్యామలా సదన్ అనే అపార్టుమెంట్ ఉన్నట్టుండి ఒకరోజు (సెప్టెంబర్ 16, 2011 న ) అకస్మాత్తుగా గ్రౌండ్ ఫ్లోర్ భూమిలోనికి దిగబడిపోయింది. భూకంపం సంభవించినప్పుడు ఇలా జరిగినా ఆశ్చర్యం లేదుకానీ, ఆరోజు అటువంటిది ఏమీ జరగలేదు. నిట్టనిలువుగా భూమిలోనికి కుంగి పోయినా భవనం కుప్పకూలిపోకపోవడం, ఏ విధమైన ప్రాణ నష్టం జరగకపోవడం విచిత్రాలలోకెల్లా విచిత్రమనే చెప్పాలి.ఈ సైట్లో భూమి అడుగున మట్టిపొరలు గట్టిగా లేకపోవడంవల్ల ఇది జరిగి ఉండవచ్చని తరువాత అధికారులు నిర్ధారణకి వచ్చారు. భూమిలోనికి కృంగి పోవడం వల్ల నివాశయోగ్యం కాకుండా పోయిన శ్యామలా సదన్ ని 25-02-2012 న కూల్చివేశారు.  

In the evening of that day, the building suddenly sank into the ground as if by the effect of an earthquake. Though the complete ground floor went down, the building did not collapse - it was like a miracle. Fortunately there were no fatalities, a few people were injured. Authorities stated that it might be because of loose soil beneath Syamala Sadan.
