అన్నిదారులూ రోముకే పోతాయని సామెతలో చెప్పినట్టు గత పది, పదిహేను సంవత్సరాలుగా ఏ పదవతరగతి పాసయిన విద్యార్థి దృష్ఠయినా ఇంజనీరింగ్ పైనే ఉంటూ వచ్చింది. ఉద్యోగావకాశాలుకూడా ఎక్కువగా ఉండేవేమో, ఎలాగయినా - మంచి ర్యాంక్ ద్వారానో, మేనేజ్‌మెంట్ కోటాలోనో సీటు కొట్టేస్తే కలలు చాలా మటుకు సార్ధకమైనట్టే భావించడం ఉండేది. ఇప్పుడు పరిస్థితులు తారుమారయ్యాయి. ఇంజనీరింగ్అంటే హ్యాపీ డేస్ అనే మాట ఇక మరచిపోవలసిందే.
రాష్ట్రం మొత్తమ్మీద ఉన్న సుమారు ఏడువందల ఇంజనీరింగ్ కాలేజీలనుంచి ప్రతీసంవత్సరం రమారమి రెండులక్షల యాభై వేల మంది గ్రాడ్యుయేట్స్ బయటకి వస్తున్నారు. వీళ్ళల్లో కొంతమంది మొక్కుబడి రాయుళ్ళు. తిన్నామా, పడుకొన్నామా, తెల్లారిందా అన్నట్టూ - ఏదో కాలేజీకి వెళ్ళాం, ఎంజాయ్ చేశాం, బయటికి వచ్చాం అనే బాపతు. ఉద్యోగం చెయ్యడానికి కావలసిన కనీస అర్హతలు వీళ్ళకి ఉండవు. వీళ్ళల్లో కేవలం పదివేల మందికి కూడా ఇంగ్లీష్‌లో మాట్లాడడం రాదని, తమగురించీ, చదివిని సబ్జెక్ట్ గురించీ, వర్తమాన విషయాల గురించీ నాలుగంటే నాలుగు ముక్కలు చెప్పలేని అసమర్ధత ఉందని ఉద్యోగ నియామకాధికారులు బుర్రలు బాదుకొంటున్నారట. కొన్ని కంపెనీలు ఉద్యోగార్ధుల ఫేస్‌బుక్ ఖాతాల వివరాలు తీసుకొని వాటిని పరిశీలించడంద్వారా వాళ్ళ దృక్పదాన్నీ (attitude), వివిధ సందర్భాలలో ప్రతిస్పందించే విధానాన్నీ (temperament), సృజనాత్మకతనీ (creativity) పరిశీలిస్తున్నారట. ఆలోచనా రహితంగా లైకులు కొట్టడం, వివాదాస్పదమైన వ్యాఖ్యలు చెయ్యడం, షేర్‌ఖానుల్లాగ కనిపించిన ప్రతీదీ షేర్ చెయ్యడం, ఫ్రొఫైలంతా వెతికినా ఒక్కటంటే ఒక్కటి సొంతవాక్యం కనిపించకపోవడం ఒక అభ్యర్థికి ఏవిధమైన అర్హతలు లేవని చెప్పడానికి బలమైన రుజువులు.
ఆర్ధికమాద్యం ప్రభావం వల్ల ప్లేస్మెంట్స్ తగ్గడం నిజమయినప్పటికీ, గణాంకాలు పరిశీలిస్తే ప్రతీసంవత్సరం ముప్పై వేలదాకా ఐటీ కంపెనీలలో నియామకాలు జరుగుతున్నాయని తెలుస్తుంది. కానీ, పనికొచ్చే ఇంజనీరింగ్ పట్టబద్రులు పట్టుమని పదివేలు కూడా ఉండటం లేదాయే! కంపెనీల దారిమళ్ళి, ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే డిగ్రీ కాలేజీలవైపుకు వెళుతున్నాయి. సాఫ్ట్స్ స్కిల్స్ బాగున్న విద్యార్ధులు అక్కడ బాగానే లభిస్తున్నారు. ఇంజనీరింగ్ వాళ్ళతో పోల్చుకొంటే వీళ్ళకి తక్కువ జీతాలు ఇవ్వవచ్చు. పైగా కంపెనీ మారకుండా మూడు, నాలుగు సంవత్సరాలు స్థిరంగా పనిచేస్తారు.
మరి, కాలేజీలనుంచి బయటకు వచ్చిన లక్షలాదిమంది ఇంజనీర్ల పరిస్థితి ఏమిటి? కొంతమంది తిరిగి అవే కాలేజీల్లో ఫేకల్టీగా వెళుతున్నారు. చిన్న చిన్న ప్రయివేట్ స్కూళ్ళల్లో సైన్స్, లెక్కలు భోదిస్తున్నారు, కొంతమంది చేతులకాలిన తరువాత ఆకులు పట్టుకొన్నట్టు సాఫ్ట్స్ స్కిల్స్ అభివృద్దిచేసుకోవడానికి తయారవుతున్నారు. సాధారణ డిగ్రీ చదివిన అభ్యర్థులతో బ్యాంక్, ఇన్సూరెన్స్ లాంటి పరిక్షల్లో పోటీ పడుతున్నారు. ఈ మధ్యన నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదలైన పదవతరగతి విద్యార్హత సరిపోయే ప్రభుత్వోజ్యోగానికి బీటెక్‌లూ, ఏంటెక్‌లూ చదివిన వాళ్ళు క్యూ కట్టడం గమనించి, `మీ అర్హతలకు తగిన ఉద్యోగాలికి ప్రయత్నిస్తే బాగుంటుందని,` ముఖ్యమంత్రే చెప్పడం చూశాం!
కేవలం ఇంజనీరింగే కాదు; ఎంబియేలు, బీయీడీలు, ఫార్మసీలు చదివేసిన నిరుద్యోగులు చాలా మంది ఉన్నారు. దానికి కొంతవరకూ కారణం వాళ్ళల్లోనే ఉంది. చదివిన సబ్జెక్ట్ మీద పట్టు సాధించలేకపోవడం, పట్టు ఉన్నా దానిని సరిగా వ్యక్తీకరించలేకపోవడం ప్రధాన లోపాలు. ప్రమాణాలు సరిగా లేని విద్యాసంస్థలని కూడా తప్పుపట్టకుండా ఉండలేం.
ఒకటి, రెండేళ్ళల్లో చార్టర్డ్ ఎకౌంటెన్సీ, కాస్ట్ఎకౌంటెన్సీల పనికూడా ఇలాగే అయ్యేటట్టుంది!
ఇప్పటికయినా మించిపోయింది లేదని స్పృహ తెచ్చుకొని, ఫన్‌ని పక్కన పెట్టి అవసరమైన నైపుణ్యాలను అభివృద్ది చేసుకొనే పనిలో పడితే కొలువు చెయ్యగల మంచిరోజులు వస్తాయి. ఆల్ ద వెరీ బెస్ట్!

వీళ్ళు దేశానికి, తల్లితండ్రులకే కాదు, వాళ్ళ స్వంతానికి కూడ పనికిరారు.
ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే మిగిలిన కోర్సులవైపు దృష్టి సారించడం అభిలషణీయమైన మార్పే బోనగిరిగారు!అందరూ చదువుతున్నారని కాకుండా అవసరమైతే అనుభవజ్ఞుల సలహా ప్రకారం, తమ అభిరుచికి, సామర్ధ్యానికి సరిపోయే కోర్స్ చెయ్యడం ఉత్తమం. చదివే కోర్స్‌కి ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలు ఏ స్థాయిలో ఉన్నాయో కూడా గమనించాలి.

In future it is going to be reflect in C.A.And these private organisations also playing key roll in creating such roomers that this is only the life, our college can only offer such course, like that.Now I.A.S base colleges also started. this field also going to be spoiled.So parents have to wake up. For the present situation...all (students,govt,business ) are equally responsible..unless we got a answer for all these qustions..we cannot justify the blame on one particular group..
ReplyDeleteWhy AICTE has permitted plenty number of engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh rather than any part of the country.....? Answer lies in your heart ...on the positive side you can say they are promoting education on other side they were no maintaining proper balance between Human-Resource Developmentt(HRD) and creating or encouraging infrastructure for the created Human resource . Most of the colleges are not well equipped with labs required for there course , as the parents as well as the author knows about the current quality of infrastructure at colleges but they were not willing talk about this issues . Well i leave it to there intellectual thinking .
Why there are plenty of software/hardware training institutes at Hyderabad if the student has the syllabus or cirriculam required to be like a professional with the enginering degree.. ..? As most of us know the fact that the education system in india mainly does " knowledge dissemination" rather than relying on quality of outcomes . For us the only outcome is the student with higher percentage is the final examination ..And we are not ready to agree the fact that already the syllabus is well known for many years the corporate colleges are capable of even guessing the kind of questions appearing in the final exams ...which is not a good sign of education system .

ReplyDeleteWhy the HRD ministry is not encouraging entrepreneurship among professionals in india... ? Well the highly regarded people says that they were some schemes already existed for them ...But how people are ready to accept the fact that the colleges as well as govt or parents of professionals are encouraging to start a entrepreneurship in india..most of them are only want jobs . but they are not intrested in creating jobs bcoz of uncertainty in financies. remember INDIA is a big country in terms of people ...and graduates if you can calculate the number of companies available in india vs graduated people then you can find the bug where really problem is .
Why Most of the electronic,electrical ,mechanical and instrumentation engineering students are finally going to software industry for there jobs. ...when most of cirriculam are taught is not relevant to there course. ? Well some highly regarded intellects say that they have talent so they are gaining jobs..... I am not ready to accept this answer ...bcoz they are doing something bad to the country .. i can justify my answer ... if these so called non-it people who are trying to enter into IT-industry have opted for there relevant jobs or entrepreneurship in there industry then INDIA would not depending on allies like china and japan for electronics ..
Why the reputed indian MNC are recruiting degree students ..for the professional jobs like analyst programmer or Database administration ...leaving engineering students at recruitment ...? Well i am not saying that degree students have no knowledge ...they are intelligent too at there level of studies but they need to do masters degree to cover the broader cirriculam and the remaining aspects which are taught at engineering level. But the companies are taking this advantage and taking degree students like B.com and B.sc bcoz they are ready work at the salary staring from 6000-8000 rupees and can stay for even 3-5 years without moving from the company until they get the some "X" master degree sponsored from the company itself. After the bind period they are ready to move ...so companies can stick the employee for at-least 3 years as compared with the professionals with engineering degree will move rapidly in the market wherever feasible ..so the indian MNC 's are following this worse strategy bcoz this doenst cost much of there financials and they can achieve there goals.. Most of you wont know the amount of dis-satisfaction among the IT-employees towards employers bcoz the companies are not -competitive in giving good salary to employee rather than targeting on profits .

ReplyDeleteIn the article the author has expressed his views like students with higher education like B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc are even opting for the third-grade jobs ...which says about the present situation of job market in INDIA. I will say that , the responsibility of the present situation mostly lies at the government .bcoz i dont see any significant measures/strategy taken by the government to tackle this issues. . Well most of you say that government is not responsible for every thing .But we all need to accept the fact the we elect the governments to make policies that can in-turn benefit the people with good intentions ..and how many people agree that every year government is taking measures to tackle this issue..Well the answer is " Nothing but Silence" . There is unemployment in most of the developed countries as well , but there administrations mostly try to tackle the issue on seeing the long-term benefits rather than short-term for getting votes to get re-elected in next elections.
The author has expressed his taught's on CA education.. well the fact is, In the present situation the required amount of professionals for the country is not available... That doesn't mean that we need to train a bunch of un-skilled professionals to CA's .. Well in this regard we can appreciate the CA authorised body bcoz even though the corporates colleges are spending lacks of rupees on advertisement in regional channels to get bunch of students into CA colleges ..the governing body of CA examination is still very tough to get through and clear the examination ..there was not even 50% of pass percentage among the appeared candidates for the examination . which is really a good sign as they are not ready to be released into society without qualitative assessment .

ReplyDeleteAnd moreover the author has expressed the MNC companies are gathering the Facebook details of students to know there creativity, temperament,attitude and so on .. But this is a two sided .. on one-side the were taking this platform to create a publicity for there company among communities and on the other-side it was true violation of human rights and privacy (i.e Privacy and Information technology Act ) of an individual .. They can use the " physiometric " test to analyze them if they are recruiting for such a good position ..rather than this cheap tricks .Well the law says that if the individual have agreed to access the records thay can do so . But the MNC companies are claiming that they are saying to the individual for what purpose they are using there Facebook ID's which are expressed in there terms and conditions . which is almost like a booklet where the individual will not have a time in the recruitment procedure to read and sign the form they have provided . Well i accept the fact that Facebook was designed for some purpose and unfortunately it was not
used according to the " Statement of Rights and Responsibilities " { https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms} .
An individual need to take care of there own writings or what they have shared in FB.
And finally the author has expressed has taught's about soft skills.. I truly accept the need of soft skills from the bottom of my heart ..Yes it was needed.. But why to get additional training ..? Again we need to circumvent about the quality of outcomes the schools and colleges while assessing on students . The education system need to develop the analytical and research skills among students rather than studying the guides or materials required to get 100% of marks in there examination. I feel that the way the education system asses the students should be modified to get the qualitative study at academics.
All i meant to say is there are bugs in the system everywhere our country need to develop manpower among various fields not just engineering is the final target .which we all failed to do so. And i do not want to expose my credentials over here so i am anonymous ..but i want you to know that i was a user for this website .
I have just read your comments. I can understand your feelings. But, do try to grasp the intention behind writing this post. I expressed my concern towards falling employment prospects of Engineering students. Once Engineering course was well revered and at a pinnacle but is now close to the rock bottom level. Keeping standards of the colleges and policies aside, the situation of the student is really jeopardized. I wanted to talk about this alone in this post.
DeleteMy sincere advice here is not to take the studies lightly. Job prospects can be improved by developing required skills and becoming employable. There may not be any magical remedy for sinking job market. But, putting extra effort one can have advantage in the competition.

Even if one individual took it in positive light and concentrated in developing employable skills, the whole purpose of having written it would be fulfilled.
I do agree with everything you have said about the system and the loop holes in it. The end user is the student here, in spite of these bottle necks he should equip himself with the necessary skill through college, if not possible from outside.

పైన చెప్పింది కాలేజ్ లైఫ్‌ని సరదాగా గడిపేసి, కావలసిన నైపుణ్యాలను అభివృద్ది చేసుకోవడంలో నిర్లక్ష్య ధోరణి అవలంబించే వాళ్ళకి సంబంధించినది. లక్షల మంది పట్టబద్రులలో కావలసినంత మంది అభ్యర్దులని ఎంపిక చేసుకోలేని పరిస్థితి ఉంది. కాలేజీలలో ప్రమాణాలలోపం కూడా ఉండిన మాట వాస్తవం. పట్టా ఉన్న వాళ్ళందరికీ ఉద్యోగాలు ఇచ్చేసే అవకాశం ఎక్కడా ఉండదు. పోటి పడటం అనివార్యమైన విషయం. కాబట్టి సక్సెస్ కావాలంటే మన ప్రయత్నలోపం లేకుండా వ్యవహరించాలి. అదే నేను చెప్పింది.

నేను పైన వ్రాసిన దాన్ని మీరు అపార్థం చేసుకున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఇంజనీరింగ్ చదువుతున్నవాళ్ళనందరినీ, ఉద్దేశించి నేను వ్రాయలేదు. అర్హత, ఆసక్తి లేకపోయినా, సులభంగా సీటు వస్తోందని, అదృష్టం ఉంటే ఏ IT కంపెనీలోనో జాబ్ దొరుకుతుందని పెద్దవాళ్ళ కోరికమేరకు ఇంజనీరింగ్ చదివేవాళ్ళని ఉద్దేశించి అలా వ్రాసాను. ఇక 20 యేళ్ళ క్రితం నేను ఇంజనీరింగ్ చదివినప్పుడు జాబ్ రావడం ఇంకా కష్టంగా ఉండేది. అవకాశాలే చాలా తక్కువగా ఉండేవి.
very true.. వేలంవెర్రి అనే మాటకి నిర్వచనంలా తయారయైంది మన విద్యా పరిశ్రమ.. పరిశ్రమ అని ఎందుకు అన్నానంటే చైనా లో వస్తువులని మూసలో తయారుచేసినట్టు మన వాళ్ళు విద్యార్ధులని తయారు చేస్తున్నారు.. ఈ పరిస్థితి ఎప్పటికి మారుతుందో?

College ki poyama..thirigama..vachama annattundi. Reason is not only on students but also on colleges, lecturer's. Every side got changed. Anni telisina lecturerse light theesukunte students em chestaru. Also, parents kuda entha kattama ani chustunnaru kani manodu chaduvuthunnada, emaina problema ani alochinchadam ledu.
Inter chadivetappudu student ela untado, B.Tech lo ala undadu. Parents has to guide their children but not force them. Alage lecturers kuda +ve environment create chesi, college management dabbulu mottham thineyakunda baga maintain cheste.. kontha mandi students ina automatic ga marutharu.
So students ni mathrame thappu anatam sari kadu ani na abhiprayam.
